nfl championship rings- San Francisco 49ers

2010 was supposed to the San Francisco 49er's year to shine. Coach Singeltary would finally get into stride with his hard-nosed linebacker-style of coaching and a talented team under his wing. QB Alex Smith would finally solidify his place as the 49er's main-man with a peak in team leadership and solid performances year-round. Running back Frank Gore would finally show the NFL his true talents with an injury-free, 1000 yard plus season. Standouts like Takeo Spikes and Nate Clements would continue to play at a high defensive level. The NFC West would be easy for the taking with teams like the Seattle and St. Loius providing sub-par competition for the Niners.

The 49er's season didn't work out as planned. Fast forward to January, 2011: the Seattle Seahawks are in the playoffs and the 49ers are watching the games from their homes in Marin and Atherton. Mike Singeltary is looking for a new job and the much-lauded Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh is stepping in as the 49er's new savior. Alex Smith's future as San Francisco's franchise QB also seems to be highly in doubt. Frank Gore looks to be on his way out as a team centerpiece, with a potential new focus on the passing game and several failed seasons that focused on running the ball.

If Harbaugh performs at the same level he did for at Stanford in 2010, the Niners could be looking at a bright 2011. However, the new coach really needs to make some recruiting and staff changes in the City by the Bay - which he appears to be off to a good start with. Harbaugh already is in the works to make some great recruiting moves, including bringing on two members of his staff from Stanford's winning team. Both defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and assistant head coach Greg Roman could very well be on their way to 49ers staff. Fangio and Roman both have extensive NFL experience and they could be a huge value-add to the Niner's new coaching formula.

As for a new and improved 49er's roster, nfl championship rings for sale recruiting initiatives primarily involve hiring a franchise QB that can step up right where Joe Montana and Steve Young left off. Cam Newton, fresh off his National BCS Championship victory with Auburn, appears to be the targeted talent. Newton could provide the air game that the Niners have been sorely lacking over the past several years along with the mobility that would allow more time for the offensive line to get their act together.
